What is glamping?

Glamping is the term people use to describe Glamour Camping. It's camping in the great outdoors, but with luxury accomodations. You know, camping with sturdy tents, cots, Thermarest pads, sleeping bags, linens, pillows. Everything you'd want to make your nighttime comfortable. Comfortable chairs, eating and sleeping with the sound of waves in your ears.
But glamping  goes even further. It means you don't have to do any of the hard lifting, packing, cleaning, cooking or planning. Glamping means you literally get to show up in Hawaii and put your feet up, relax and enjoy.

Glamping isn't for everyone though. Some campers prefer to DIY (Do-it-Yourself) - you know who you are. You want to be more involved in the daily work. You like to bring out the chain saws and cut and carry big chunks of firewood to camp for everyone to watch as you shed your tank top and show us your ripped abs while you swing away at logs. You like to work up a sweat before you collapse into your beach chair with a cold drink to quench your thirst. Part of the fun for glampers is getting to watch you guys.

So, I've decided this blog is going to be about glamping in Hawaii with a little warrior sightings along the way. See, I'm a girl, and like most girls, I Iove it when my man does all the hard work while I sit back and enjoy a good book, sitting in my chair with the shade up to block the hot Kona sun, sipping a nice cold tropical drink. So, if you want to learn more about the Big Island of Hawaii, and the best way to go glamping there, I'll try to give you the inside scoop. And if you have any specific questions about Big Island or camping along the Kona-Kohala coastline feel free to ask away too.

I hope you enjoy my stories and adventures.
